It’s summer and the fruit available at the moment is incredible so I’ve done a lot of summer baking. Todays recipe involved apple and crumble and is gluten free. I know the crumble is on the short side in the picture so if you like more crumble then double up the recipe and enjoy 🙂
Ingredients of Apple filling
4 apples peeled and cut into small pieces
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius
- Peel and slice apples and put into bowl with lemon juice
- Pour liquid vanilla on top
- Mix in the cinnamon and maple syrup
- Pour into the bottom of a baking dish
Ingredients for the crumble
1/2 cup gluten free flour
1/2 cup gluten free oats
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil
- Combine dry ingredients and spices in a bowl
- Add in the maple syrup and stir
- Mix in the coconut oil
- Sprinkle over the apple and cook in the oven until golden brown (will usually take about 30 minutes)
Take out and enjoy warm with ice cream (I like Booja Booja!)
