Let me start by saying that you’re amazing, beautiful and truly unique. You were brought to the earth to be you. Your past mistakes, failures and experiences are exactly that… they’re in the past and they’ve helped you grow, become stronger and be who you are. You are kind, fiercely loyal and wear your heart on your sleeve and although you’ve been hurt before don’t let that stop you from trusting others.
Know that whatever you’re feeling is normal. You are not to blame for how you feel. Know that the people around you love and support you no matter what. Know that they’ll be there and are ready to support you if only you talk to them.
I want you to know that communication is one of the most powerful tools you can use in life. Often our minds like to make up stories and create alternative realities that are so far from the truth! And know that if you don’t talk about them then you’ll store those worries and guilt and that will affect your body and life. I also want you to know that talking is not a weakness! People will not think you’re ‘crazy’ or leave you. Being able to be open and vulnerable is a strength not a weakness.
So on those morning you cry into your pillow and don’t want to leave the house, pick up the phone, turn to the person next to you and connect.
For those moments you feel the weight of the world sitting on your shoulders and you can’t stand up, sit, slow down and meditate.
For those moments you feel that no one loves or cares for you, the moment you feel like you’ve offended everyone, know that they’re there for you.
For those moments you feel most alone, know that there are a thousand people willing to hold your hand and walk by your side.
For those days you feel embarrassed to question your relationship or friendship, know that it’s in your mind. Journal, write it down and try to understand where those feelings are coming from.
For those days you’re embarrassed to even tell people you suffer from anxiety! Know that it’s normal! You’re not alone on this path. Know that it’s ok to seek help. This does not mean there is anything “wrong” with you, you should not feel ashamed! Hold your head high knowing you are strong! You’ve acknowledged it and are ready to heal.
Listen to your gut. Truly and fully loose faith in the universe in all the huge signs it sends you.
The hard days will show you strength you never knew you had. You’re stronger than you realise. The hard days will show you where you need to change, they’ll be your signposts along your bumpy path.
The good days are real. Cherish them. Journal them and be grateful.
Know that this path will break you before it can remake you. Trust that the universe has your back and only wants the best for you.
Open yourself to try new things like yoga and meditation. Read lots and speak to as many people as you can. Keep learning as it will help you understand yourself and allow you to relax knowing you’re not the only one.
Please please know that you are not a burden on the people around you. No matter what you do or say they love you! They need you in their lives and you are important to so many people. Your life matters!
Life is short! So damn short! Be grateful for everyday you have, write a gratitude journal to find the good in even the toughest days. Live your life to the fullest, not worrying about the future because who knows what it holds for you. Live your life in a way that would make others proud. Live each day to the fullest and show your love to those around you.
And finally trust… trust in people… trust in relationships… have faith that the best will happen in the end… know that hard times help you grow… trust in the path… trust that the happiness you desire is deep within you- has been and always will be.
